Remember Margaret Seltzer (aka Margaret B. Jones), the woman who grew up in a well-to-do family but wrote a "memoir" of her life growing up in L.A. gangs? A 10-minute video of her talking about her, ahem, life has been uncovered, and it's a hell of a thing to watch. She says things like this:
“I graduated. I got a ethnic studies degree. My teacher, when I graduated, cried when she handed me my diploma. Like, it was a amazing moment. And I think one of my most prized possessions that I own is, one of the big homies whose been on death row, he sent me a graduation card for graduation. And he told me they passed it around and they all toasted my graduation.”
First of all, she never graduated, not as Margaret Seltzer or Margaret B. Jones. Second of all, "big homies" on death row toasting her graduation? She went to private school! Even weirder is that this website has uncovered her background in eco-terrorism in Eugene.
After watching this thing, I'm starting to feel sorry for her, because something is very clearly wrong.
well i remember a certain someone graduating from nyu and getting harry and david's fruit-of-the- month club from her peeps at rikers.
